Difference

1. Portability

Desktop: Stationary; requires a dedicated workspace.

Laptop: Highly portable; can be carried and used anywhere.

2. Performance

Desktop: Typically offers better performance due to larger components, better cooling, and higher power capacity.

Laptop: Performance is limited by size and power constraints, though high-end laptops can rival desktops.

3. Customization and Upgradability

Desktop: Highly customizable and upgradable (e.g., CPU, GPU, RAM, storage).

Laptop: Limited upgrade options, usually restricted to RAM and storage.

4. Power Supply

Desktop: Requires constant power from a wall outlet.

Laptop: Runs on a battery and can be used without plugging in (limited by battery life).

5. Cost

Desktop: Generally cheaper for the same performance level.

Laptop: Often more expensive due to miniaturization of components.
